Tangie - HOLD

This adorable, all-legs, four month old Jack Russell/Wire-haired terrier mix is loving life with her southern foster family, their family dog and 5 cats! She and her siblings did not have a great start to their lives but they hit the jackpot when our rescue partner plucked them out of a high-kill shelter and found wonderful foster families for all 6 of them!

Her Mississippi foster family tells us, “Tangie’s favorite thing to do is be with her people! She loves to curl up on our laps but is also content knowing we’re in the room with her. And she has yet to meet a stranger! She throws her whole body into saying hi to someone! When she is on her own, she knows how to amuse herself with toys, but she’s a little bit of a hoarder with a touch of OCD – she will move the toys one by one into her favorite toy stash pile! She loves the feel of grass on her tummy, and loves twigs, squeaky toys, and balls! Tangie walks on a harness and leash and does a great job. She’s still working on housetraining; whenever she is in her playpen or crate she does an excellent -and LOUD- job of letting us know she has to go out, and with continued training and positive reinforcement she will stay on this positive path. She sleeps in her crate at night.

Tangie is a smart puppy and learns quickly, she’s a people-pleaser that loves training with treats and praise. She keeps trying to make friends with the family cats but they want nothing to do with her. She plays well with our family dog but needs to be supervised because she’s a typical rambunctious puppy. If you’re the person who opens your heart and gives Tangie her forever home, you will hit the jackpot! You will have a loyal, loving companion for years to come”

We can’t wait to meet these six sweethearts! Tangie weighs 6.8 lbs and will turn 4 months old in a few days. This little cutie will be a spunky gorgeous small dog for life!

If you have interest in meeting Tangie or any of our sweeties please fill out the adoption application.

Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
